Give Me Something Real

Springtime means ministry for South Central District ECY!  On April 9-11, 2010 students, youth leaders, and pastors from across the denomination will gather for STIMULUS 2010.  STIMULUS is an annual retreat for junior high and high school students challenging them to commit their lives to Jesus for the first time or go deeper in their walk with Him.

Students live in a world today that is filled with falsehoods and distractions.  Finding out what is real and what is not can be a challenge when media, pop culture, and other people point to the wrong things.  Things that are fake lead to hurt, loss, failure, and discouragement.  Students need something they can count on.  Students need something real.  "Give Me Something Real" is the theme for STIMULUS 2010.  STIMULUS 2010: Give Me Something Real will help students learn to navigate life's challenges by destroying the myths of sin!  A real relationship with Jesus is the only thing that can satisfy and fulfill your life!

Students will experience a whole new type of retreat this year.  New elements of worship and response, new integrated programming, and moments designed for significance will make this year one of the best ever!  YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT! 

STIMULUS doesn't just minister to students.  In special Leaders Only sessions, adult leaders in churches of all sizes will be able to connect and share their wisdom and experience.  They will be challenged with new ideas about how to minister to their students more effectively.  Most importantly, adult leaders will be encouraged to continue in one of the most important ministries in their church.
